Why the FOUNTAIN is an underrated Science Fiction Movies

Darren Aronofsky The Fountain was a colossal failure. Approaches its box office remained well below his small budget, and the critics took the mediocre.

It was also one of the best science fiction film in the last decade. and here's why.

A painting unlike most movies today, The Fountain used very little in the way of computer-generated graphics. And yet the visualizations are some of the most interesting and beautiful ever seen in a movie. On first view spectacular scenes in deep space as spectacular displays colors and light. These were conducted by photographing in the deep sea organisms in three dimensions, and the effect is more beautiful than any CG ever could deliver.

But the rest of the movie is just as beautiful, in less spectacular ways. The movie's set was brilliantly lit, designed (or selected), and the weft in unique and effective ways. Even the protagonist Tommy Creo (Hugh Jackman) House is transformed into a work of art by Aronofskys care and attention.

The film takes place in three periods (past, present and future). each period has its own visual appearance, but is connected to two other thematic. At one point in the movie drive Hugh Jackman towards a city on a freeway night. Soon after, tours in the past, he is a dirt road towards the city on a horse. Both visualizations is in a way otherwordly and haunting, and clearly intended to strengthen the similarity between the signs Jackman play in all three periods.

An apparent Aronfosky story is deep, complex and perhaps a little complicated. Taken as a movie in the sense that we have come to view the movie (a vehicle for a story) maybe the critics are right, it is not so amazing.

But this is not a film to be valued at the same level as the most movies.Fountain is full of metaphor and stuck together importance, much of it is only loosely connected at a constant level. It is an aesthetic work, but a profoundly powerful with an abundance of meaningful themes and ideas.

Fountain is a film that raises repeated viewing. There is a lot and more can be found here, a veritable treasure trove importance. While its plot will never stand up to scrutiny, it is not really the point.

A phase of Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weiss provides the emotional core of The Fountain.Their act is by turns intense and powerfully understated, and the express lines so that arch in tone, as smaller actors would not completely, rendering decisive moments, wood and convincing. they take this arch dialogue and transform it into a prayer sadness, nostalgia, rage, and finally acceptance.

Jackmans performance alone would make this a movie worth watching. He plays three distinct characters here and manages to combine them without udgiftsdækkende them all in a single role, he is really convincing. throughout the movie and drive it forward unrelentingly, even in his quieter, calmer moments.

A song Clint Mansell score is so strong that it seems to cover almost half of the movie He beats from beauty ... for dark repression in sure careful strokes, explore its melodies in different and uniquely suitable ways throughout the movie. His soundtrack is worth hearing itself-I have listened to it repeatedly even. Combined with the images Aronofsky puts forth on the screen, is it an aesthetic masterpiece, like the rest of the movie.

The film's climactic section, scored by Mansell's Death is the road to AWE, is something everyone should experience the. end of the song will leave you breathless, contaminating the culmination of everything Mansell carefully prepared through the rest of the movie.

A movie with The Fountain, Darren Aronofsky has proven that he can create something really powerful and really outside perimeters for storytelling and traditional filmmaking. is seen as a painting, a poem and a stage, combined thematic and aesthetic, is this a fitting masterpiece to filmmaker respected.

What is a good film

From romance, action and adventure to horror, krimier and voltage, film comes in each variety and design imaginable and is as much a part of most people's lives as the air they breathe. Film is an amazing art form that has touched people's lives and emotions since the day they began.

Film industry movement has produced movies of the year, which has reached inside, and touched the peoples inner feelings. How many times have you shed a tear or found even laugh hysterically over a movie? Or maybe control under the bed before going to sleep at night.

Movies are a popular entertainment throughout the world and with todays computer generated technology, todays graphics and illusions appear so real, you may find yourself completely submerged in a movie in hours as the world goes by without you.Film is an escape from reality, and sometimes an adrenalin rush as real as the reality itself.

One of the most convincing affects films can have on viewers are leaving them either empathizing or despised characters of the movie and compelling actors and Actresses may be liked or disliked exclusively for a job well done; I have many times distress, sees the effect a great films can have on the segment.

Film is designed to stir the emotions, and more people are in a movie, the more their emotions become affected. listen to the men and women scream or clapping for the hero or ranting and shouts at the villain is explicit evidence of a nicely created the film.

Even though the film may rely on computers for Visual and special effects, the monitor is in writing and acting it actually make or break a movie.Laudable movie takes usually the human factor of feelings into account as a basis for the movie. Large movie comes up with a way to leave people feel happy, sad, scared, or sometimes even confused, but the most critical, is they have to leave you feeling as if you just took part in something.

Today, many of the older film Classics are made. Probably adds due to the fact that the story and plot was 30 or 50 years ago, but by adding todays modern technology and graphics to the audience's enjoyment of the film.

Without a doubt movies can have a pronounced influence affects people's life and behavior, and is an important part of todays culture. everything that touches the emotions have a kind of influence, and no other art form hand human emotions more than a good movie.

How to write great Movie Reviews for your entertainment website

If you have an entertainment website, so you're always fresh, new, fun and exciting material to keep your readers coming back for more. Movie reviews are a great way to do this. People want always to know what someone else thinks about the movie, they want to see, and they will crawl the Web to search for these statements. Now you can publish another site assessments, but why do it? You want your readers to be loyal to you and your site and frankly, they want to hear what you have to say, and what you think. If you're thinking you don't have the foggiest idea how to write fun, compelling film reviews, then think again. I will tell you everything you need to know.

1. Active Watch Movie-Yes, I realize that the film sees a passive activity. You are watching a movie is not something you do, it is something that happens to you. If you want to write good reviews, however, you must learn to look at the movies with a critical eye. This means you should be aware of everything and I mean everything. Notice how the players are placed in each shot, setting, camera angles, even music. All these elements play a role in the story, which is trying to get to know, and is important to talk about, if you want to type the urgent kind of reviews that readers stops at your website each week to read ...

2. take the VAT rate Notes-no, I do not expect you to sit in a theatre with the pen and pad or laptop in hand, but I expect you to take solid mental notes. Information such as actor names or as Director was easy to come across, but information such as your camera shots or plot devices are not, so you must educate yourself not only to keep an eye on the kind of information, but also to remember it.

3. Summarize. Do not miss. -This is important. Nothing is worse, and then read a review that tells the whole movie from beginning to end and leaves nothing for you to see.People want their views, not for you to spoil the movie. a basic summation of the plot is all that is necessary. From there you can talk about whether or not the plot worked well or was the plot even a plot at all. Let the details of the movie be revealed when your readers see the movie, not when they read your review.

4. critical analysis is the key difference between an audit, anyone can write and revise people will clamor to read in how well you analyze your movie.Think about these papers, you should write for lit class in college. Professor not just want to tell him what the book was about but wanted you to tear down the themes in the book, and how they related to the plot, characters, etc. Good is the same true of a movie review. Nobody wants a summary of events, or the plot.A good review will examine the themes or ideas movie travel and talk about how well or not so good movie executed these themes and ideas.

5. Point Out pros and cons-no movie is perfect and rarely is any all bad movies, so take the time to talk about what movies are doing well, and what it does is not so good.

6. Be Original-for some folk are two thumbs up, for others it's rotten tomatoes. no matter what you decide your rating system, be original.Try to find a hook that works for you; just do not something similar to another, or you just want to seem like a bad copy of the original.

Follow these steps and you will receive in writing the best reviews on the Internet has to offer, and your readers will always come back for more in and week out. Happy in writing.

Ahhh, a little boy in a big house, questionable parenting and some comedy criminals what not should suffer? If you haven't seen it in a while, it still keeps as a fun trip into mixed-up world of "Movieland". While in the real world will parents have been imprisoned for criminal neglect, beats everything in this place nice again, just in time for the credits to the role.A kids vs. grown ups movies on it is the very best, from the author of such classics as The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller and Director in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Who Boo ' ed? EH? Who was it?Hold the foot! This is one of the all time greats, when it comes to Christmas movie. you may not have seen it in a while, but don't let that fact that it is rolled out each Christmas, like the great Escape postpone you. for a film dealing with emotional breakdown of a suicidal man feels he has lost his life, it is not preachy or patronizing and still leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy in the end. A true classic, they don't make them like this anymore.

(3) the Muppet Christmas Carol-1992.Written by Charles Dickens & Jerry Jhul (I guess not at the same time). Directed by Brian Henson.

I love the Muppets and out of the latest movies, they have made, this is a far better. With enough jokes to keep parents happy, and more than enough slapstick keeps children getting bored, is this film a real treat a cold winters night. Michael Caine is cast as the miserly Scrooge ably assisted by a world Samlingstypens colorful creatures. Songs, sledging, snowballs, it has got it all.

Note: Scrooged with Bill Murry is also a class Christmas film and worth a post here. But Bill has gained a wealth of good things and the Muppets only will show up here, unless we run a top 5 Furry creatures on sticks round up. which, when all said and done, we probably want to do!

(2) Die Hard-1988.Written by Jeb Stuart, based on Roderick Thorps book. Directed by John McTiernan.

It is winter, but Bruce has still a vest on!Evil in the towering inferno rip-off, but evil with machine guns, high-TEC Labs, and of course, Alan Rickman.Over the top, and then some, it is an action film, all of which can suffer. The lines are now part of our culture, it put Mr. Moonlighting on the path to Movie stardom and Alan Rickman best snarling our age groups.Explosions, Guns, Throwaway line, it has been the lot, and it has been a lovely Christmas light also!
Say it with me, come now, says the ...."I now have a machine gun.Ho Ho Ho "

(1) Gremlins-1984.Written by Chris Columbus. directed by Joe Dante.

La la la la, lala, la la la la, lala, la la la la laaa laa laa la lala. PRODUCT! Cute, furry, make noise and "breeds", when you put water in him! who would have thought it would all go so wrong? A black Fairy tail from the people who brought you Home Alone; everything from fathers crazy inventions to the story of "Daddy fall and break his neck while climbing down the chimney." It is all big B Movie stuff, with fantastic scenes with green monsters explodes in microwave ovens, and a drunken bar brawl, complete with flasher. we love this movie and know you do too, if only to stair angle lift bit! Remember now perhaps Christmas, but do not feed them after midnight!

Movie review-how to catch a Thief (1955)

Directed by Alfred Hitchcock

Screenplay by John Michael Hayes adapted from David Dodge Roman.

Cary Grant--John Robie

Grace Kelly--Frances Stevens

Jessie Royce Landis--Jessie Stevens

John Williams-H.H. Hughson

Charles Vanel--Bertani

Brigitte Auber--Danielle Foussard

Jean Martinelli--Foussard

Georgette Anys-Germaine

Easy shot one of the most gorgeous and beautiful films ever. It is not an accident that it won the Robert Burks 1956 Academy Award for best photography, colour; An eye-candy of a tourism poster an entertainment. When you see it, you will also be a fan of the beauty of the French Riviera.

Cary Grant, as John Robie, again plays a well-meaning decent guy (despite his background as a notorious cat burglar) who finds himself embroiled in a fairy tale, which threatens to put him back in jail.

This time he is suspected of having committed the recent wave of thefts that have parted fattigdomsbyld from Nice from their precious jewels Robie maintains his innocence ... in vain.He is still best suspects police have. continue the French police to ride his tail.Robies only solution is to find the real alarm systems.

Robie showed, by working with an insurance agent h. h. Hughson (played by the prim and proper John Williams, who also played the police detective in another Hitchcock-Grace Kelly movies-Dial M for Murder, 1954).

Five parallels between "To Catch a Thief" (TCT) and Hitchcocks other classic "North by Northwest" (NBN), where Cary Grant has also participated:

1) In both movie player Grant a guy that gets the problems from the get go, practically just five minutes into the movie.

2) Both films have this famous scene in which a female character dangles from a high position and Cary Grant grabs her by the wrist at the last minute and grabs her to safety. She is the leading lady dangling tremendous relief, George Washington at Mount Rushmore in NBN. She is in TCT crook dangling from the roof of the Silva's Villa.

3) NBN has the famous crop duster aircraft scene. In TCT pursues a similar-looking police aircraft from low altitude boat, where Grant running away from the Nice harbor.

4) Jessie Royce Landis, who plays "Jessie Stevens" in TCT plays Cary Grant's mother in NBN (although Grant was ten years her senior).Landis was played by Grace Kelly's mother, not only in TCT but in "The Swan" (1956) and.

5) In NBN makes his mark appearance by Hitchcock, stepping on to a public bus on a city bus station. In TCT, Makes his mark appearance by Hitchcock sitting right next to Grant as an anonymous passages in the row back in a passenger bus travel on French Riviera dusty back roads.

OTHER COMMENTS:

--This was the last film Grace Kelly shot with Hitchcock. Soon after, she married Prince Rainier of Monaco and left the film business for good. If she had not done it, she would have plunged definitively against Cary Grant in "North by Northwest."

--French actor Charles Vanel (as Bertani) could not speak a word in the Danish. All his lines were called.

--Half of the movie (most interiors) were shot at Paramount studious in Los Angeles.

--The film was shot with PanaVision technology, the leading competitor to Cinemascope technology then. In PanaVision technology ran the movie horizontally, not vertically.

--Screenwriter John Michael Hayes wrote that also other major Hitchcock classic, "Rear Window (1954)."

As many movies are becoming more and more conventional, predictable and stale, rising foreign films in popularity not only in their own country, but by leaps and bounds in the English-speaking world as well. # 2 Love "Me If you Dare." This is an incredible French film, which is a great Romantic comedy that redefines the genre of the persons who generally hate romantic comedies.Let not a genre, keep you from watching this film. This story of love, respect, dark comedy and a lack of ability to live in a "normal" world is original and incredible.I think it is a French foreign films, and this is an amazing roller coaster ride of a movie.

# 3 "City of God."A terrifying and dark film based in Rio de Jinero Brazil. If you want to get a feeling of Brazilian slums and shanty towns, this is your movie. This film is a real eye, many on the status of the lives of many in the developing world, and are dark and brutally honest.

Aliens and predators-where next for Movie franchise?

After almost thirty years of Alien action and more than twenty years ago Predator first burst onto our screens seem these two giants genre movies have settled into their own series together, which in turn seems to have created its own genre double header of the film. Takes its origins from Freddy Vs Jason (a shallow, boring excuse of a movie), was the first AVP released in 2004 to much fanfare and critical disdain. Its successor, Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem, followed in 2007, the credibility of the series seemed to have dealt another blow thanks to a ridiculous script and substandard workmanship. Still, credibility away, the movies, there has been a great success and an inevitable third record is underway already. To continue the case of diminishing returns, or will this third AVP have something in the way of originality or effect? We will be here until now take a look at all the Alien movies, both Predator movies and series, AVP. Then there's a look at what you can on the way in which the third party.

Allows you to start with the Alien movies. Ridley Scott's original 1979 masterpiece still stands today. It is really dated not so much, and despite all to know exactly what should happen to ill fate crew of Nostromo, it still upgrade packs a massive Dorn. Iconic Visual effects, including the various Alien design by HR Giger, is still amazing, and direction is impeccable-not shot wasted.A masterclass in the atmosphere and pacing, this is an absolute must-see in every possible sense. Essential.

James Cameron filled Scott's shoes more than admirable, and delivered an incredible satisfactory continuation in the 1986. Focus was much more about interventions and spectacle, but Cameron's blockbuster didn't Let characters the packing slip, to give us some real tensions, as our heroes are picked one by one of the American creatures. Powerloader Vs Alien Queen scene in the film's climax is exciting to this day.

David Fincher brought us entry gloomy and claustrophobic third in the series in 1992. prepared a distant penal colony, stands the reawakened Ripley the wild Alien creature again. Finale, with Ripley's iconic suicide as Alien Queen breasts bruster copying through her body, something is viewers will never forget. A highly underrated movies, this is an incredibly curious piece of science fiction drama.

Jeane-Pierre Jeunet was responsible for directing the fourth movie back in 1997, with a script by Buffy creator Joss Whedon. While it realised a brilliant visual style and some great scenes divided dull script and clunky handler from deal of votes left fan opinion. It is a fun filled popcorn film, but after what happened before, it is below becomes large.

But what about Predator movies? There have only been two solo Predator movies to date, and it never saw the heady heights of the early Alien movies. Still, they continue to be popular. The original, Schwarzenegger-Starring 1987 action romp was a great story to survive against a formidable foe. At the end of the movie that is as Ethan and of left the portrait Predator, and the result, while predictable, is very satisfactory.Predator comes across as a deadly, ninja-like beast able to clean, terrifying plagues, and all in sport name. An iconic film, which unfortunately has had its strength watered down of what would later become the Predator franchise.

Predator 2 came in 1990. Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon) is headed up this continuation of numbers. The action has moved to Los Angeles, and Predator is loose on the streets. Even without Ethan, this sequel is still a fun way to spend 90 minutes, even if it does not quite correspond to the ferocity of his predecessor, or excitement.

Alien Vs Predator arrived in 2004.The film had been mooted for 10 years (ever since the original AVP comics showed from Dark Horse) opened to great fanfare and done a ton on the box office. When anger was dead, was empty plot and non-existent script STUFF of legend. What it had had some very exciting set pieces that enthusiastic fans across the world. What film, there was a lack of coherent story made it more than up for the spectacle.Fighting between aliens and predators is fantastic, if more in the direction of superhero movies than the original versions of the beasts.(A) fan air intake favorite for sure, but more Hollywood blockbuster than a serious science fiction movies.

Terror came to a small American town in the strange plotted sequel, aliens Vs Predator: Requiem.Violence was raised to an al-new level, as was gore. Again aims squarely blockbuster audience, it lacks a decent script and has an almost MTV style direction. Set-pieces come thick and fast, and while the Viewer can't care at least for the human characters, scenes featuring aliens and Predator is gripping and exciting in equal measure.

But what of the third film and the future of the two separate franchise? There has long been an Alien 5 within reach, but it has never seen the light o the day, and AVP series may have killed the chances of aliens and predators to strike out which on their own for a good few years yet. as regards the Predator 3, is nothing even being considered now. Word is that the third AVP film to see the series Shifts back to deep space, which is exactly where the films should have been laid down in the first place. Some fans have called for the third film has no human voices, and thus no risk of awful dialogue, but unfortunately chances Hollywood put out a movie with the beautiful actors in it these days, which is a shame. a full on art house AVP movies would bring still in the segment of the earlier films and also win some of them very-lost credibility points, these cinema icons lost long ago.

Film Miami layout: Films set in the magic City

Miami might not like Los Angeles or New York, cities where movies are continuously being shot around every corner. But Miami definitely has its fair share of filming. Perhaps it was chosen because of the movie's plot and perhaps it was chosen because of its location (trouble shooting a beach scene in Nebraska). For whatever reason, have Miami's presence in the movie theater left the other Florida cities to approach, and shyly ask for an autograph. The following is a brief list of Miami born movie moments:

From Justin to Kelly: how Miami outbids all other cities in THE UNITED STATES, Rituals for this film is beyond me. Seriously, must have been bidding war for this up there with bid for the Olympics or the Super Bowl. A film featuring American Idol first winner and runner-up, was from Justin to Kelly enough to make someone go from nausea to vomiting. Yes, it was seriously so bad. I would give a lengthy discussion of the plot, but was really not a.Suffice it to say that involved the line story a little more than a song, and stop flapping of limbs for the same choreographed routines ... However, in a scene, they dance with towels. it was in other words, magic.

There's something about Mary: one of the funniest movies ever hit the screen, this movie featured Cameron Diaz as Mary, a girl, as men were willing to go to great lengths to impress. These great lengths included the persecution, espionage, mimics and donning a fake British accent.Ben Stiller plays TED, a clumsy but likeable man in love with Mary, a man who wants to impress her but comes across as slightly less psychotic than rest of visiting scientists. a concrete sleeper hit, this film had unforgettable scenes with laughs aloud moments. It has also made us look forever differently on hair gel.

Scarface: at one time during the 1980s, had almost all teenage boy a poster of this movie on your bedroom wall. It is a tale about Tony Montana, played by Al Pacino, who come to Florida as a refugee Cuban. After becoming a gangster, due to the 80s cocaine boom, he rises to the top of Miami's organized crime world, only to fall back. Originally released a little enthusiasm, Scarface has since become a cult classic and one of the most acclaimed films is made ever; it has forever left the movie fans consider it one of their little friends.

Bad Boyz: the movie, which left us all wondering what "you will do when they come for you," Bad Boyz features Martin Lawrence and Will Smith as two detectives at the Miami police force after 120 million dollars in drugs is stolen, the two detectives made it possible to get drugs back or losing their jobs. They fight and quarrel with each other, but their mutual love is also true, leads this duo to be compared with the deadly weapons and Starsky and Hutch. This film is, however, far fetched-as police dramas are often-it is fun, fast-paced, and the action is hard to miss. This film led to a continuation, as also were shot in Miami.

Any given Sunday: one of the more action-packed football movie any given Sunday includes a star studded cast both actors and professional athletes. With a portion of the movie filmed in Miami, was the Orange Bowl Stadium disguised as Home turf for a fictitious football team, Miami sharks. Al Pacino plays an intense coach while Cameron Diaz has an owner, and a rather nice to Football movie differs strongly. from heartwarming them like Rudy or the replacement; instead shows the inner workings and politics involved with running a professional team.

Violence in movies

Many people complain about the violence in movies and tv. I can honestly don't see much violence, either place, because I am highly selective in what I see. I had a discussion with a friend the other day about this topic. It reminded me that I had written an article a while ago, and traced it.

It is a true story that happened in december, 1994. in retrospect feel this story more as a planned experiment than a spontaneous happening.

I participated in three movies within a period of seven days.Where I fine at that time in Santa Monica, I had the luxury of being in easy walking distance from five cinemas, which can show a total 22 movies simultaneously. most is hot out of the Studio. (I still live in Santa Monica, but longer slightly away from these theatres).

The first film was "Legends of the Fall," which all can admit is violent. How I got to one is a mystery why I stayed is more a mystery. maybe it was so I could have this experience and tell it.

The second film was "Jungle Book", which parents are actually small children to see! I found it extremely violent and distorted.

The third was "I.Q.," a movie, I found beautiful. Wa whom! Walter Matthau is one of my all-time favorite actors. No violence. Many will probably say "no depth," as I drag my shoulders without comments. I went to the movie to be entertained, and became. I have a lot of depth in my work every day.

So now you know the films, here experiences. Blood and gore date across the screen in "Fall Legends", I watched sometimes and closed most often I eyes. About three quarters of the way to the end began advertising that normally appears at the beginning to play. The audience exploded!

Yelling and feet stomping became the norm. One man in particular seemed to go berserk. He screamed obscenities and could not say more than three words before repeating his favorite words, "(f) ___ ing."

I do not ever have been in a riot, but it felt as if we were about to happen. I sent lots of love and light to the projectionist and to the audience. Soon played the right Reel.OOPS, no sound. More scorn from the audience of the movie the sound came then .... More scorn to rewind and start new Reel again. Finally, the movie, even though I have no memory of how ended.

Several days later, I was off to the second film on another theatre ...."Jungle Book," a classic, deemed to be a children's movie. Audience comprised day little boys and girls accompanied by adults.Children were very afraid. This was a tense fright, however not an exciting.

Three quarters of the way through the movie bread. Audience exploded with yells and screams. The theatre was not as crowded as the previous movie, or the answers would undoubtedly have been multiplied.Soon the movie back to the screen to its finale.

Several days later, I took part in "I.Q." on a third theatre. This is a romantic comedy that require Puzzle of Albert Einstein with tee-hees and broad smile to audiences throughout.

Are you ready for this?, three-quarters of the way through the movie bread. Not a sound came from the audience. All sat quietly, waiting for the repair or whatever was necessary; This soon as has been done, and the movie is playing in the end without interruption.

Something in me wants to conclude this article with a profound and her brief phrase that summarizes the whole experience. But something stronger in me just want to stand on its own--you make it you want. It is a true story.

X-Files Movie Review

You see the continuing adventures of FBI agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) was a thoroughly exciting and fun experience from the 90 's, as the two intrepid detectives took the search for and prove inexplicable phenomena such as ghosts, monsters and a conspiracy involving the major powers in the world and a vicious alien race output intent on colonising the planet. The latter had become a somewhat frustrating experience in television series, as the only tip ever had fallen on what took place between the Government and foreign; we trøde that feature movie comes hot on the heels of Season 5 of TV show will offer some great explanations, but unfortunately, this film is as elusive as the show, which I am sure disappointed many fans out there.

This DVD presents a slightly edited film, which includes a couple of more scenes actually provides some final answer, which was left out of the theatrical release, and one wonders why they were left in the first place. The few minutes would have probably sold more tickets, but what's the benefit of hindsight. except that ' the X-Files Movie "is just as entertaining as the TV series, more so in a number of instances that it exploits the available for cinema large widescreen format.

The movie opens 37,000 years ago with two prehistoric men discover an underground cave which houses an alien virus that has the ability to infect a human host, lookup, host in an Incubator, creates a new alien, and then delete the host when the alien is ready to jump out and start living. No, it is not a restoration of "Strangers", which is part of a larger framework dealing with a government conspiracy in which a shadow government assists these same foreigners to colonize the planet. When we look first Mulder and Scully, they are looking for a couple of buildings, relating to a bomb threat, they are away from the X-Files and bored because of the. Mulder finally find the bomb, but THE FBI agent in charge orders them all out under the pretense that he would defuse the bomb, but instead he allows it to blow up. Mulder and Scully are formulated for the accident; at this time, Mulder is contacted by a paranoid Director Alvin Kurtzweil (Martin Landau) as points him in the direction of a virus outbreak in suburban Texas. As Mulder and Scully are beginning to investigate, Peel the slowly back clue after clue leads to shadow government, why they blew up to build and what their capability-related planning is for everyone on this planet.

The movie hit all the marks, made tv shows work so well, and then some. It's a big emphasis to see these characters on the big screen, and it makes no sense that the characters or the situations they are lost in the translation to the big screen. The movie gets you intrigued right from the start, with its unusual extended Prolog, begins in the ice age and then reach today with shadow government process to the location where the outbreak of alien virus begins. this configuration gives you the feeling that very little will be revealed, especially as foreigners plans change, forcing the Government to change their shadow. Unfortunately, the more the driving cycle, the more you realize they are running out of time to drop some bombshells on the story, and it is only in one scene where Mulder crosses path with the Well Manicured One that we finally get some clarity on what is happening. As a film that had the slogan, "The Truth is coming ...", leaving the final implementation a lot to be desired.

However, the story said, still quite entertaining. If you had never seen "The X-files" before, this film works well as a stand-alone story and get you are probably interested in watching TV show.Duchovny and Anderson, so likeable than ever in the main leads, and the movie continues relationship tension between them without ever consummating the. The stellar supporting cast from the show including Mitch Pileggi as skinner, William b. Davis as cancer man, and John Neville as the Well Manicured We all hit the spot as they usually do.Filmmakers have assembled a great guest cast as well as, headlined by a perfect Martin Landau, who really sells the role paranoid doctor, Armin Mueller-Stahl as mysterious leader of the shadow government and Blythe Danner as an FBI investigator who casts a dubious eye on Mulder and Scullys activities.

The movie looks extremely good director Rob Bowman really benefit from the large screen and write some fantastic pictures. cutting of the opening Prologue is perhaps the most interesting in the movie, especially the way in which it draws you to the mystery of the film. Effects are well gone; virus black oil runs behind people's eyes are not comfortable, and the last sequence in the Antarctic, where an alien spaceship blasts its way out from under the ice is a promotional Visual, especially the crater it leaves in its wake. Movie manages to throw in some of the show's trademark scares and insecure, dark atmosphere.

X-files-the Movie is a solid entry of the franchise, but probably will disappoint fans expected more answers from the story.

From our deconstruction of hundreds of Hollywood blockbusters....

The Hero's Journey is the template upon which the vast majority of successful stories and Hollywood blockbusters are based upon. In fact, ALL of the Hollywood movies we have deconstructed are based on this template.

Understanding this template is a priority for story or screenwriters.

The Hero's Journey:

a) Attempts to tap into unconscious expectations the audience has regarding what a story is and how it should be told.

b) Gives the writer more structural elements than simply three or four acts, plot points, mid point and so on.

c) Interpreted metaphorically, laterally and symbolically, allows an infinite number of varied stories to be created.

and more...

Creativity is King in the World of independent Film Production

A creative minds is a filmmaker low budget most valuable tool. It all starts with an original idea; from there it is about familieplanlægningspolitik as trøde that until it grows to be a brilliant idea. After that it is a question of getting the idea made into a movie by using every ounce of energy and resources you can muster.

Most of the successful films showing at film festivals these days are movies that were made for a fraction of the cost it takes to make a major Hollywood studio movies. Technological progress has made it so just about anyone can make a movie. Film cameras, video cameras, sound recording equipment and only for all other equipment, as a need to make a movie can be purchased at very affordable prices these days. The equipment is available these days can give a very low budget films with a production value, similar to James Cameron had anything to do with the project. This professional appearance, combined with a unique history can help any movies chances of being accepted to film festivals like Houston Worldfest, Cannes, Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, etc. ..

Try as they might, the major Hollywood movie studios will never get a monopoly on creativity. They spend millions of dollars on marketing research in an attempt to figure out just what it is that the movie-going audiences the world look for when they go to the movies. Despite all these efforts come they still not with a formula. Taste of the people that go to the movies is so difficult to predict an earthquake is to pattern changes all the time.Because of this fact is the door left wide open for those creative types world typing game. everything they need to do is come up with a unique idea that they can transform into a movie, enter their movies in festivals like the Sundance and then let the judges decide. While the major studios have tried to take over the film festival circuit in recent years, it is still a little guys with the small but nevertheless creative films is King in this area.

It costs not so much that you would like to make a movie that can be entered in competitions like the Sundance Film Festival. Sony is about to release a line of high-definition video cameras that are perfect for anyone who wants to make movies on a shoestring budget. While movies made with these cameras will not be shot at the "movies" (just as movies have been since the beginning), will they (almost) look as they were. These new cameras will be able to provide a high quality image, which is comparable with the image film gives. Two videokamerærne is PDW-F 330, PDW-F 350, and they offer all kinds of film production features that even the most film-loyal professional filmmaker must respect. Both cameras offer true 24 P recording in both SD and HD, interval recording, and slow shutter speed recording to name a few. The model's F350 also offers true variable frame rate recording capabilities, which is also called the features "slow motion/fast motion". Features like these are very valuable for everyone to make a low budget film, because it allows them to include proposals effects in their movies without the need of an expensive film camera or a high priced film lab. Both of these cameras will be on the market in March 2006. F350 will cost around twenty five thousand, while F330 model only will cost around sixteen thousand dollars. A PDW-F 30-deck will be available in June for about nine thousand. These are small price to pay to become self-sufficient and independent filmmaker.

Filmmaker low budget can invest in a relatively inexpensive HD video camera and deck and have everything they need to do as many movies as their mind and body can put all the must after, is a creative mind, a few thousand dollars, a few ambitious friends for your actors and crew, some script writing software such as final draft, and an iron resolve to make a movie. They do not have to worry about the high cost of film stock, film processing or movies to DVD transfers. everything should they are their camera and a $ 30 disc (23.3 GB), and they will be set to film a whole movie. Buy disks for a camera is much cheaper than buying movies and all the financial baggage that comes with it.

When they shoot their films with one of these cameras, low-budget filmmaker can go right to their computer with the CD and start editing it using one of the many affordable editing applications that are available in these days, such as Final Cut Pro.They can do all the work production record for their films on their home computer, as long as they are willing to assume a mother load of work responsibilities.

Technology has allowed independent filmmakers to circumvent many expensive steps in the process of filmmaking.Instead of paying a lot of you hundreds of dollars an hour for film services are only available in cities like Hollywood and New York, they can now do all of these steps in their own home comfort on their own computer.

For anyone who has ever had a dream about doing their own movies, there is no better time than now to make it happen. the playing field has been leveled with regard to technology, but you must still a creative story to get anywhere on the film festival circuit.Affordable equipment can get you on the field, but you must bring a good game to win a creative mind is your best player in this game, so if you've taken care of the part you are halfway to make your movies vision a reality. Nourish your creative idea until it becomes a unique script and then dedicate your life to make this script for a movie. If your idea is so good that you will think it is you do pretty well on the film festival circuit. If this happens, it could lead to a decent distribution deal for movie. "If you stick with it and continue to make movies you can even find that you have made yourself a career as a professional artist who makes independent films, and that dreams really can become reality.

The most significant film and movie experiences in 2008

Translate Request has too much data Parameter name: request Translate Request has too much data Parameter name: request

I refuse to do a Top Ten Films list. First, I haven't seen enough movies, only a few dozen of the films that were released this year to be quite honest. Second, when you start micromanaging things to that level it is so subjective as to be meaningless. So, we've come up with 15 Notable Film Awards for 2008 that even the most hardcore movie buffs may have overlooked, forgotten about, not seen, or just plain not have considered at the time. If you get anything out of this set of awards, hopefully it will be a more thorough understanding and appreciation of film. Hahaha...just kidding!

** Biggest Disappointment of 2008 **

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

While the argument can be made that Crystal Skull could share this award with X-Files: I Want to Believe, there is no question that expectations forced it into the top spot. The original Indiana Jones Trilogy is one of the most beloved series of films of all time. X-Files, while having a hard-core following, had pretty much dropped off the radar for most fans for a while. From a script standpoint, X-Files was better. In the end, had X-Files been a weekly episode, it would have fit in and played fine. Crystal Skull was just a misfire on most every cylinder. Part of taking 17 years to work up a sequel while year after year saying that you're going to have to find the "perfect" script kind of puts fans in a mindset that now that they've got the film rolling that they DID find the perfect script. Actually, they may have. Frank Darabont's original script Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods, which is about 65% of what hit the screen was actually pretty delightful. It took a mastermind of Lucas' caliber to strip all the fun out and completely squash the life out of it. Darabont's script may not have been epic, but it certainly had a lot of Indy "fun" in it and was much more true to the spirit of the character. With all that in mind, it was still good to see Harrison Ford don the fedora again, and there were a few nice Indy moments. The motorcycle chase in the first act was about as pure fun as the movie got, though. Beyond that, if there is going to be any more Jones films, please wait until George Lucas retires or dies. Get his fingers out of the creative process -ANY creative process. Don't trust the guy to plan your lunch menu at this point...unless after getting up from the restaurant table you can claim that he shot first. The most fitting review for Crystal Skull could ironically come from a classic movie line in the afore-referenced scene from Harrison Ford himself: "Sorry about the mess."

** Most Outstanding Film with a Rotten Climax **

Iron Man

We are currently in the Golden Age of comic book films. There are two things going on with this phenomenon. One is that digital effects have finally reached a stage to bring the outrageousness of Super Hero comics to life in somewhat of a believable way, but second is that filmmakers are starting to take seriously the need for comic book movies to have a real script and characters. Just recreating a replica of ink and paint tights and a few tag lines is not enough. With that in mind, we got the mind-numbingly outstanding Dark Knight that kind of came and overshadowed the outstanding Iron Man in this capacity. Robert Downey, Jr was brilliant in this role, and though Iron Man was never one of my "books" during my brief few year flirtation with the comic book world in my younger years, he really brought the character to life with a sense of justice. What came together on screen was so good 85% of the time, that by the time it came to the terribly mediocre "climactic battle" between Iron Man and the evil Iron Obadiah Jeff Bridges that it was completely forgivable because it was so entertaining in every other respect. Great script, great effects, self-gratification humor - all the ingredients of a comic book geek's fantasy film.

** Best Audience Reaction to a Poop Joke **

Zack and Miri Make a Porno

No way I'll spoil this, but as poop jokes go, Zack and Miri Make a Porno has a priceless one that had the audience I saw it with gasping in a mix of delight and disgust. I enjoyed it myself. Also, It's noteworthy that Kevin Smith managed to give us probably his best overall effort yet. While Zack and Miri may not have been the funniest movie he's ever made, it certainly was a fine flick from Smith. Definitely his most sharply directed and solid effort yet as a filmmaker.

** Best Kept Film Secret/Most Fun Movie Speculation **

Cloverfield

If you were to review movies as an entire investment, marketing package, and product, Cloverfield would hands down be one of the best Hollywood efforts of all time. Producer JJ Abrams' brain child of a "first person" Blair Witch Style giant monster movie was shrouded in mystery up until shortly before release. Even the official website didn't reveal anything about what the movie was going to be about or even the title. The fact that the script didn't leak is phenomenal in today's day and age, and that was partly achieved by keeping the cast full of unknown players and not letting them read the script before signing their contracts. Cloverfield itself was actually one of the year's best movies as well, though there were some flaws with it that kept it from being truly classic. Complete lack of likeability and logical decision-making on the part of the main characters was my biggest beef with it. WAY too much exposition in the first act almost lost me as a viewer. However, as giant monster movies go, this was the best time I had watching one since my pre-teen "honeymoon" with the Godzilla series on Channel 4 on weekends.

** The Loathsome and Offensive Yet I Cannot Look Away Award **

Funny Games

This movie slipped under a lot of radars in 2008 as a remake of a French Film of the same name and by the same director. The film is purely a psychological experiment in how far you can push an audience's tolerance for being uncomfortable. As a viewer, the film is painful to watch, puts you through the wringer and there is virtually nothing enjoyable about it. However, it is interesting, ruthless, intriguing, and forces you to want to see how it ends. It's just no fun getting there. It's the story of how a family is taken hostage by two young psychotic serial killers and systematically played with and tortured over the course of one long, agonizing night. I was tossed back and forth by this movie, at times, being angry about the director's overt efforts to manipulate the audience's emotions and other times admiring the film's strokes of genius. If this type of movie doesn't sound like your cup of tea, don't rent it. But if you really want to experience a completely different style of film in the horror/thriller genre you might want to check this out. It's anything but standard thriller-fare. Even if you consider that "praise" I have to say that there were several times that I just toyed with the fact that I didn't want to see any more of it and just about acted on that feeling. To this day I still don't know if I can say that I'm glad I watched it through to the end.

**Most Average Film That's Still Going Get Blu-Ray Time in My Home **

Speed Racer

Over the last 25 years or so there have been several filmmakers that have claimed to be trying to bring a "comic book" to life on screen. We have the winner. I've always thought that Warren Beatty's Dick Tracy was completely overrated in this respect. Giving the characters wardrobe choices that are all primary colors does not a comic book movie make. In this case, the Wachowski Brothers were trying to bring a cartoon to life, and what they put on screen was one of the most wacked out acid-tripping films of all time. The movie is visually stunning, and to be quite honest, is completely honorable to it's source material. I liked Speed Racer. For what was set out to be achieved, it was spot on. The real problem is that the source material isn't all that great to begin with. If you're still watching DVDs on an old analog 19 inch TV, don't bother with Speed Racer. But the combination of utter weirdness and unprecedented visual effects work make this definitely worth a look. It's the most literal definition of "eye candy" ever made.

** Funniest Film of the Year, Best Motion Picture Comedy in Ages **

Tropic Thunder

This is your career Ben Stiller, and ya done good. This film is a completely guilt-free comedy that's solid start to finish in spite of being hindered by an over-the top performance by Jack Black that just seems completely out of place. It's also one of the sharpest and funniest satire's of the film industry that you're going to get in the guise of a mainstream comedy. Even Tom Cruise brings down the house in this, as does as an entertaining supporting performance by Matthew McConaughey with a very funny call back joke to put a capper on the climax of the film. I'd also love to see Robert Downey, Jr get a best supporting actor nomination for this. He had two great films this year. Just goes to prove that it takes a real hardcore recovering addict to be consistently entertaining on the screen. In my mind, Tropic Thunder is the exception to an ever increasing rule we see with movie comedies: that the formula for mainstream comic success is to have just enough funny scenes to keep the audience entertained even if the rest of the film is shit.

** Best Continued Dividends Paid By a Contract With Satan **

Wall-E

When Steve Jobs had his lawyers help draft his contract with Satan, he got one of the best deals in history. Lucifer's lawyers are still scratching their heads on what the hell happened. With his stake in Pixar, where he still sits on the board of directors, the advent of the iPod and surviving bouts with seemingly terminal cancer this guy has come out smelling like a rose. The phenomenal part of this deal is that Pixar is now not only sitting on a 14 year run of never releasing a financially unsuccessful film, they've never even released a "bad" movie. Now don't get me wrong, when I'm on my deathbed asking to watch my favorite Pixar films, some of them like Cars and Finding Nemo may get tossed aside, but they're still great movies. There is no explanation other than a paranormal deal. In 2008 they may have released their best film since Toy Story 2. Wall-E isn't quite as high as TS2 on my list, but it's a phenomenally good looking, well-made and scripted film. The utter brillance of Wall-E is that it is a completely entertaining package for someone of virtually every age. For my 4 year-old, it's one hellevu robot movie. For my over 30 lazy ass, it's one thought provoking masterpiece of about environmental problems, the human condition and the role of technology in taking our eyes off the plight of our planet as well as a heart-warming love story. And wow, we get Fred Willard to boot!. If you haven't seen Wall-E, don't dismiss it because you've developed a seething hatred for Pixar after having seen Cars 400 times and having bought every single piece of licensed Cars merchandise and clothing for your kids. Wall-E is brilliant, not to mention another stunning reason to buy a Blu-ray player.

** Best Reveal of 2008 **

Gillian Anderson in X-Files: I Want to Believe
Since 1993, the X-Files universe has been overly heavy with trench coats, hidden pregnancy, medical scrubs, and cold wintery settings covering up the wonderfully beautiful body of Gillian Anderson. Though the glimpse was a fleeting footnote to an otherwise ho-hum, disappointing film, at least we finally got to see Ms. Anderson take it off and expose her bikini clad body in a calm, tropical setting as the credits roll. Sure, you can scour the internet and find scads of great topless or semi-nude and suggestive pix of Anderson, but that's not Scully, damnit! Bravo to Chris Carter and Gillian Anderson...uh...sort of.

** Most Fun Action Flick of 2008 **

Quantum of Solace

For a movie franchise with dozens of films over 45 years it's great to see that there's still fun to be had with it. Solace hit all the bad-ass notes that a good action flick needs and Daniel Craig is steadily moving up in Bond circles as one of the most beloved Bonds ever and deservedly so. While I still see the Bond franchise as a collection of great moments and a handful of solid films over the years, Solace proves that the Craig era has been able to breathe more life into something 45 years old than half a dozen iced coffees at Starbucks will into me when I hit 45 sometime in the next decade. Awesome, sharp action sequences in one slam bang awesome action fest. Loved it.

** Best Continuation of a String of Mediocre Films Starring a Decent Actor **

Keanu Reeves in

The Day the Earth Stood Still

Not much to say here other than Keanu seems to really take his time choosing roles that seem to be attractive to him. Bravo Mr. Reeves, now how about entertaining us? The Day the Earth Stood Still is a logic-challenged mish-mash of mediocrity. Now, don't get me wrong, War of the Worlds a few years ago with Tom Cruise is another fine example of a classic sci-fi film remade into a not-so-great digital effects fest, but at least War of the Worlds was FUN. Imagine any or everything that was slightly cool about War of the Worlds being stripped out and leaving the remainder. That's The Day the Earth Stood Still. You're so mad or bored in this movie by the time the next thing that might be slightly cool comes up that it's hardly worth the effort. This script could have used a couple of more re-writes and two or three more scenes with John Cleese. That or some gratuitous nudity might have helped.

** Most Painful 1 Hour 43 Minutes Spent in the Cinema This Year **

The Spirit

After careful thought on this, this was absolutely the worst movie I had the displeasure of seeing this year. The finished product felt like a work print edit of a film that that was made from a script that was 4 or 5 drafts from completion. The only honorable thing Lions Gate could have done with this movie was to let it collect dust on a shelf and put it direct to DVD in a couple of years. I suppose they could have tossed about about 40% of what was shot out and tried to rewrite and shoot something somewhat identifiable as entertainment to insert into the gap, but it would have been an uphill battle. For anyone that's read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Spirit is probably the closest approximation to Vogon Poetry that the Human Race will ever achieve. Honorable Mention in this category goes to Star Wars: The Clone Wars. What a raging disappointment that was, too. Not nearly as bad as The Spirit, but also a painful film to sit through.

** Best Performance by an Actor in Lead Role (My Personal Pick) **

Michael Sheen in Frost/Nixon

When it comes down to it, this is a tough call. Heath Ledger was stellar in The Dark Knight and deserves every bit of recognition he gets up to and including Best Actor if he wins it (which I don't think he will). However, when I look back at the 30-40 films I've absorbed this year, the guy that lit up the screen for me the most was Michael Sheen. Recently, the real David Frost condemned Frost/Nixon as not historically accurate. He qualified this by stating that the events and facts depicted were probably "10-15%" inaccurate. I've got no beef with the real Frost, but who's he kidding? For a historical drama based on a true story I'd say that 85-90% accurate is pretty damned impressive. Frost's real problem with the film is that it depicted him as having less overall journalistic credibility at the time of the Nixon interviews than he felt he had. He's probably right, but it's inconsequential to movie itself. Sheen not only completely absorbed this material, but he struck an incredible balance of humor, angst and likeability in the part that it was hard to not identify with. It was a great role with Sheen portraying Frost as someone who charges head first into a highly charged political interview not caring one flying leap about the politics of the situation or of former President Nixon himself. Frost ends up surrounded by people with a political agenda and a stake in him nailing Nixon. For his own sake he has to move forward and help those people's agendas to avoid his own career and financial decimation. Frank Langella has gotten well-deserved accolades for his portrayal of Nixon in this piece, but it was a perfect crime for Sheen to steal this show out from under half a dozen other outstanding performances in this movie alone.

** Best Film of 2008 (My Personal Pick) **

The Dark Knight

It's far from a perfect film, but it's an uphill argument to say that this film is anything but superb. It truly is The Godfather of the Super Hero genre. It's a first rate psychological mob drama that just happens to be written around a classic Comic Book Hero/Villain duo. While Michael Keaton's Batman took on almost a supporting role in the terribly misguided Batman Returns all those years ago, when Christian Bale takes a back seat to Heath Ledger's Joker as well as an ensemble cast of some our generation's great actors (Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman etc...) it's in the service of putting together a film that really will stand the test of time. Yes, the movie has a handful of minor issues. It's a little too long, the third act gets a little mish-mashed and the Joker's coupe de grace stunt ends up being a little contrived, but all ultimately forgivable speed bumps in the course of a classic motion picture. Director Chris Nolan has almost sabotaged any further efforts he might try to take in this franchise. On my first and subsequent viewings of the film, I've come to the determination that it's that opening bank robbery scene that really catapults this movie into a type of gritty violence and demented joy that we've never seen in a comic book film before. Forget Superman: The Movie, forget Spiderman 2, forget Iron Man. While all great films, The Dark Knight is a movie for the ages, not just for Batman fans, but for fans of just plain damned good movies. While toying with this choice, I had to swirl around some great movies this year: Burn After Reading, Frost/Nixon, Benjamin Button; but of all those choices, The Dark Knight is the most complete package of the bunch. Congrats.

The Greatest Films of Will Smith's career

One of the most good players in all of Hollywood is Will Smith. Big Willy is one of the biggest stars in the movie industry and unlike many other players in the top of their game, would seem to be universally good. He seems to be a really good guy, and his personality seeps into every role he chooses.

This article will focus on what I consider to be the best films of Will Smith's incredibly successful career.

The first movie I want to mention is the accident. If you are looking for a fun and entertaining film, is a good option. Smith stars as the character, paragraph, which is a consultant to help get guys the girl in your dreams. This film stars also Eva Mendez and Kevin James.

A movie that has certainly to be included on my list, Will Smith is Bad Boys; the original films in this duo Michael Bay movie has it all. It is howling and action packed yet certainly not a comedy. Martin Lawrence is large as Smith's partner in crime.

Another great film Starring Will Smith is the Pursuit of happiness. "this is one of my favorite films in recent memory, and what makes this film so special is that it is based on a true story.I recommend this film. Will Smith's small son Jayden Smith also stars in this movie, and it is really difficult not to get work done while watching the. I do not want to spoil the film for anybody, but if you are looking for an inspiring story, look no further.

A movie that I feel are worth mentioning, I Am Legend. While I do not care for the repeal of this film, not since Tom Hanks in Cast Away, we have seen the actress take up so much screen time as Will Smith did in I Am Legend. As the sole survivors in New York trøde I want did a great job.

Finally, I would like to include men in black in this list; It can not be my favorite Will Smith movie, but you cannot deny these duo film success. any fan of men in black will be happy to know that a third installment is currently being filmed.

There are hopefully one or several movies on this list from the large Will Smith, you have not yet seen.

Movie trailers-The Great Hollywood Lie

How sad is it that week after week, people from all over the world get tricked by money by Hollywood? Let's face it, the highest paid people in your organization should not be actors and it should not be directors, should simply the men and women, as most of us have never heard of. They are those that edit movie trailers together. They are the ones that give us a glimpse of their new movie has to offer, and they are those who deceive us the most. This holds true for any genre, but in particular in the case of a horror/suspense and comedy. They trick you often shows you the funniest or scariest scenes in the movie and do you think that the whole movie will be filled with the same.

How many times have you seen a movie trailer and trøde that even "wow that movie looks amazing, I can't wait to see it". You then go see the movie, and it is nothing like what the trailer made it seem to be? Months before the movie is released you get bombarded with PR for the film, from posters, trailers and even pop up ads on the Internet, and you get so full of hope for these high budget, and often times low talent films that you can't help but expect them to be great. So now you have wasted nearly $ 10 dollars for movie ticket, and while I try to avoid over prices, while satisfying snack line, most people want to go and spend at least another $ 10 there. You have now spent almost $ 20 for a very boring, sometimes with vex 2 hours of your life, as you will never get back. it would be bad enough, but the worst part about it is that you probably want to go and do it again next weekend as well.

So how can you avoid being lured by the studios, and how can you avoid wasting money after seeing these mini movie called trailers? Truth is good there is no way to be 100% sure that you see the movie will be good, but here are a few things you can do to increase the chances to lose less money by watching the better movies out there.

1. See trailers-although often deceive us, trailers, they are still necessary to get an idea of what the movie might be about.

2. read many reviews-is the key to reading reviews not only read one and then go on to what the author had to say ... many and most important, try and find reviews from people who seem to have similar tastes as yourself. Most of us go see the movie with some friends, because they usually have similar tastes as us and want to enjoy the same things. The same goes for movie reviews. Find reviewers who seems to have similar tastes as you, and that will help you in picking your next movie.

3. Actors/Directors-if the main actor is a person you don't usually like, so it's a good chance that you don't want to like this movie either. The same applies to the Director. a lot of times the average person doesn't even know who is directing the film before they see it. If you would just check this in advance they can find out that this person has been involved in many movies, that they did or did not like. Movies in this sense, much like reading a book. Would you go buy a book that was written by the author that you hate?Try using the same logic with film-makers.

4. how many times have you seen the movie trailer?I have recently come to the conclusion that if I see the movie trailer on TV more than 5 times in the week before the film will be released, so I have no desire to see this movie anymore, or at least on opening weekend. This is more a general rule for me who do not hold I always true to it.For example, I could see the trailer for Spider-Man 3 100 times in the week before it comes out, and I will still see the open day. They have done enough for me in the first two movies to convince me that third party will be equally good. This has caused me some disappointment in the past (The Matrix movies), but generally when seeing continuations and trilogies it is ok to see the 2nd or 3rd If you liked first.

5. Wait until the opening weekend is over. There are so many movies sites out there now to find out what the public has thought of a movie. If you do not trust the professional movie reviews, then wait a week or two after the movie has been released, and find out what others think about it. This will in turn help you filter out some of the bad movies out there.

I understand again that there is no full proof plan to avoid seeing a bad film, but my advice to them is to put a little more thought and research in the movies you watch, before you go, and then hopefully your parent movie experience will improve.

The 10 best MOB movies of all time

The mob has always been one of the major themes of the film. The combination of apparently easy wealth, moral compromise and violence have provided rich themes for generations of filmmakers. This this article I will discuss the 10 biggest mob movies of all time, listed chronologically:

Public Enemy (1931):This film is a particularly dark film noir looks at the life of a petty criminal who is becoming more and more ruthless and violent and ultimately destroyed. Film that was released before coding, movies, so it is a surprisingly modern films.

In the Big Sleep (1946):The big sleep is my personal favorite Humphrey Bogart film, and it is a tense crime drama in Florida including extortion and murder. Code movies rinsed many of the more explicit elements of the movie, so have a look at the book by Raymond Chandler. So do you want to see the movie and say "Oh, this is what is going on."

on the waterfront (1954):Wait, this is not a mob movies! It is about a Boxer and his relationship with a corrupt union ... YEP, it's a movie, mob, but it is a film that shows the second page of the mob life, not from gangsters viewpoint, but from the people who are force to live within the mob-controlled institutions.

Godfather (1972): The Godfather is mob movies, establish it as a specific genre, but also change the mob movie in important ways. It established the idea of gangsters as glamorous, something that really had not been seen in the previous film. It learned also filmgoers on the rules and institutions for the mob, delivers an "official" context for future mob movies.

Mean Streets (1973): Mean Streets are anti-Godfather.Instead of focusing on the wealth and prestige of the crime, it focuses on petty criminals in Little Italy. The movie takes its inspiration from films as Public Enemy great. Compare the approach to crime in the Mean Streets with The Godfather, part II (set largely in the same area), and you will see a high contrast.

The Godfather, part II (1974):The Godfather, part II extended the mob mythos by taking viewers through the history of the development of Vito Corleone leadership in mob. In reality, is it bound mob back to the street. At the same time so we more corruption of Michael Corleone, leading him to be almost inhuman at the end of the movie.

Scarface (1983):Scarface is a grand total, sumptuous film, there is so much about in the 1980s as it relates to the crime. It is about a ruthless and clever crime Lord, who manages to be extremely powerful, but at the expense of losing all he loves. Finally he destroyed in a gun battle that is so excessive as his lifestyle, which is sort of the point.

Goodfellas(1990): Goodfellas is the biggest mob movies of all time (there, I said it).It follows the street level gangster through his introduction to the mob and his declining to drug addiction and amorality. The most fascinating aspect of this film is the way it stands in contrast to the way in which Henry Hill perceive what is happening with what is really happening, until reality in everything comes down through.

Pulp Fiction(1994): Pulp Fiction is the most influential films since Star Wars so that updates the boundaries of what can be considered "plot" in a movie. It has a number of interweaving stories, and the focus on the crew of Marcellus Wallace, a Los Angeles crime Lord. movie is a mixture of clever dialogue and sudden violence and is still Quentin Tarantinos most-watched movies.

Traffic(2000): Traffic has a different approach to mob life, after the parallel stories of drug traffickers and police are trying to bring them the film is unequivocally on the police side, but manages to do this without ever dealing with criminals, even as they are not human. It has also the advantage, dealing with some of the effects of the drug trade has on the people who live in countries such as Mexico.

You will then have To Be A Movie critic?

So you want to be a film critic and get paid to watch movies, eat popcorn and be as påståelige as you like? You may be interested to know that it may require an extension to experience work by working two or more jobs (it does not pay, good) and thickening your skin against the merciless criticism of others. You can still beat a job that involves being in the same room as Angelina Jolie or John Cusack, and then executing them conversation.

A major assumption that most aspiring film critics makes is that no formal training is required. All you need is an opinion and an ability to express it. This also serves to heighten its appeal.

Theory turned out to be true for Dan Kimmel, who began life as a law clerk and then segued into the article writing and film reviews. These days he is a successful columnist for a number of print media outlets, but still finds it necessary to supplement his income with education and public speaking. This proves that while the pen is mightier than the sword, it pales in comparison with the Chequebook.

Colleague critic, John Black, followed a more traditional journalistic route to his career as The Metro "Movie Guy". Black began in a small weekly paper and had to work his way up to become a paid film buff. He also regrets the lack of remuneration, however, to say that most free is launched (and most film critics are free is launched) earn less than $ 1 a Word.

You must be a really famous Critic Roger Ebert as to earn the big bucks. But to reach this level, you could only make or a movie with your opinion. Kind of influence are not won by simply fencing some random thoughts about plot-holes and dialogue. In fact, you must understand the intricacies of movie making, such as the complexity of lighting, set decoration, editing and film production, and how they all impact on the overall movie experience.

It also helps if you can tell people what a duct does.I keep picturing a narrow old man wearing a golfing equipment hat and vintage knee length golf pants, whose only task is to greet visitors to the set jovially. I am fairly obviously wrong. A duct is the head of the electrical section of a movie. Responsibilities include design and execution, the movie's lighting plan.It comes from the British term for an old man (I was only mostly wrong), in particular, they were responsible for lighting in theatres or as trend street lamps."gaff" was a centre of excellence with a hook on the end, helped them carry out their duties.

To set yourself on the way to becoming a professional film critic you need to do some research and it just does not look a whole lot of movies, even if you need to do also. you must read books on cinema, making as well as on the written technical criticism. It is not all about opinion after all.You can hate a movie, but you need to be able to explain why. required a fair amount of diplomacy and tact, that "It is sucked" doesn't cut it.

Eloquence and coherence are vital components of any criticism. your review should give readers insight into why you felt a certain way about a certain movie, and it should be clear enough for them to make an informed decision whether or not they see it.

One of the most important aspects of the workplace, is to accept that you do not wish to most of the movie, as you can see. Kimmel constant memories although "his dangels Law", as hypothesises that 90% of everything is unwanted black holds on the conviction that all the teen-comedies, invoke toilet humor is balanced by independent film festivals that showcase original ideas from artists who haven't sold to Hollywood, yet.

Another hidden disadvantage to that dream job is, to you again by placing your opinion in the public domain, inviting criticism on yourself. And people can be unpleasant. "I had to wonder if you do not have this hissy fit while adorned in your official Star Trek uniform. "-was just one of the comments received in response to Blacks review of the movie, The Perfect Storm, as he disliked.

If you believe that your skin is thick enough to take the abuse, if you have an unerring ability to sway people with your convincing prose, and if you like spending time in the dark, then perhaps the job for you. If not, you must prepare your pen yet: there are some movie critics with poor opinions, which just asks to be vilified.
